Since Elon responds to your tweets, you might want to ask him if it really made sense to attempt multiple static fires especially since that led to damage to two of the Raptor engines and subsequent static fire attempts, after the engine replacement, had to be aborted. It just seems that those multiple static fires was an ad hoc decision that had led to delays in launching of SN9 and testing those key concepts needed for further Starship development.

It's really cool to have slowmo @120fps, but these YT vids are still only playing back at 30fps. Talking head style vids are fine at 30 I think, but anything demonstrating motion, especially something fleeting like these static fire tests, would greatly benefit from 60fps render and upload. Just a suggestion, thanks for making the awesome vids! :)

How magnetic is Starship's stainless steel, maybe strong electromagnets can capture it on landing before locking clamps grab it and boarding ladder is extended. Surely every heat tile is going to be inspected before reuse.

So If SLS did one static fire in the last 10 years. Sn9 exceeded that testing regime on this day by around 37,000,000% all differences aside, that sounds like progress to me. :)

The plan is for SLS is to do only one static fire test for full duration (8+ minutes) with 4 engines simultaneously All the rockets after Artemis 1 will not be static fired and will go straight to KSC for flight Starship has lots of short static fires as part of its development /test campaign so it's different in that respect

Does anyone know why the tri-vents go into overdrive right as the pumps spin up before the engines fire? It makes me think they might be venting the pre-burner exhausts until the engines are up and running, but I thought the tri-vents are venting O2 used for engine chill?

Spacex is a private company. Nuclear submarines are military technology. Of course it would work, but you can't just "buy" a nuclear reactor. At best nasa would need to be involved in developing a nuclear 3rd stage, or the government would need to provide the nuclear power plants.

If we can take submarines ran exclusively on nuclear energy for months at a time hundreds of feet below the surface of the ocean then it could definitely work. I dont think Elon is trying to colonize Mars for the commercial advantage. I wouldn't be surprised to see nuclear powered transports going to and from Mars once elon has paved the way with chemical rockets. It would make sense.

First static fire shows Spacex needs to implement a FOD walk around their pads before launching or even static fires as several pieces of debris can be seen getting blown around. That's never good.
